Motorola ROKR E8 Review

Motorola ROKR E8 ReviewMotorola ROKR E8, the new music-centred proposal by Motorola, is an ultra thin handset with Java/Linux based interface. The handset, whose pictures have been recently leaked in the net, has a touch sensitive keypad with an “Omega wheel” which is being a called a huge navigational solution? There is a small bud for every key which helps tactile orientation. But only few like those touch sensitive buttons. But wait here, listen to this, in place of full sized keys each input will be replaced by small contact points with labels triggered by background lighting. The innovative technique will let each button functions change depending by the context.

For example if you switch on the media mode the number keys will fade away to be replaced by the track navigational control and the website notes. This will allow the Motorola to add or alter control on the fly, a frequent problem with non-touch screen phones. So may be touch screen is not that bad then. A music lover’s delight the handset comes with a standard 3.5 mm audio jack. The music oriented phone ROKR E8 has only 2 mega pixel camera with no auto focus. Come on guys you can’t expect Motorola to provide everything in one phone.

The phone is has 8GB of memory storage and a micro SD card slot. Like other Motorola phone this one also offers you mini USB port. Blue tooth audio is also anticipated components of the ROKR E8. Some will not like the new look of the phone and some are even calling it the ugliest phone ever. But we are not that harsh. We will wait for Motorola to announce the phone, which is expected in late 2007 or early 2008. Till then you can just have a glimpse of the picture leaked by the Chinese website.
