Samsung today announced a solar-powered cell phone named the E1107 Crest Solar.

The E1107 battery can be charged via sun light, providing 5 to 10 minutes of talk time for every hour charged. The rear of the phone is covered with the solar panel that collects the sun's rays.

The Crest Solar will be on sale in select markets later this month. At this time no pricing has been disclosed.
