The software from IBM called Lotus Domino Web Access, best known as the IBM Lotus iNotes will soon allow its users to bring the Lotus e-mail, contact details, as well as the calendars to their second-generation iPhone from Apple Inc.
IBM mentioned that the functionality of the Lotus iNotes is planned to be out for iPhone use before 2008 ends. However, they did not give any specific date regarding the release of the application. According to the company, the Lotus iNotes currently represents the plans and the directions of the IBM which were about to change.
From the webpage of IBM, talkingabout the functionality of the Lotus iNotes, it states that the application will blend well with the connectivity as well as the flexibility of Apple Inc.’s iPhone. It will be built on the time-tested Lotus Domino Web access infrastructure of IBM.
Along with the other companies, IBM has already praised the latest second-generation iPhone from Apple Inc. and called it as a mobile device perfect for the enterprise. It is one of the best mobile platforms so far that has its own unique features that can be compared to the E-series of Nokia, BlackBerry from Research in Motion and devices from Windows Mobile 6.
