Voice-Activated Google Maps For Blackberry Pearl Now Available

Google has gone experimental with its recently launched new version of the Google Maps Mobile for the RIM Blackberry Pearl.
The new version of the Google Maps Mobile client now comes with software that makes use of voice recognition principles to aid users in their search for specific locations, directions, and other relevant inquiries. Basically, the process involves pressing and holding the handset’s side button and speaking out whatever information is needed.
Although the new feature is regarded as experimental, Google has had previous exposure with speech recognition technology as exemplified by its free, voice-activated GOOG-411 service.
