Documents To Go for the iPhone is in the App Store now, and priced very nicely during a ‘Grand Opening Special’ that should attract a lot of eyes to the product.
For 2 weeks only, you can get it for just $4.99. That’s a lot lower than I, and probably many others, expected out of the gate.
Documents To Go – also known as DocsToGo or DTG – has been a leading app for working with Microsoft Office documents on various mobile platforms for many years – and its iPhone version has been much anticipated nd awaited.
Here are just some of DocsToGo’s features (from the website):
* Edit, create and view MS Word documents (including Word 2007, Word 2008)
* View and synchronize MS Excel, Powerpoint, PDF, Apple iWork and other files
* Includes a desktop application (Win and Mac) with 2-way file sync (over WiFi)
* View and edit in portrait and landscape mode
* Character formatting – bold, italic, underline, text color and highlight
* Auto bullets and numbers
* Multi-level zooming
* Embedded graphics
* Tables
* Undo / Redo
* Find and replace
* View comments, footnotes, endnotes, and text boxes
Purchasing this version of DocsToGo also entitles you to an update that will have support for editing and creating Excel spreadsheets. There’s no expected release date for that update as yet – it is just listed as ‘when available’, which is assumed to be a few weeks or so.
