Is it better to receive search result in thumbnail instead of text based? Searchme has announced the availability of its visual search engine for mobile devices. Searchme’s engine delivers results as a browsable list of “pages” - pictures of actual web pages that users can check out before visiting them. All mobile users can now access the engine at m.searchme.com.
“Searchme’s visual search is now available to billions of mobile users, offering a new and better way to search the Web,” said Randy Adams, Searchme Founder and CEO. “Searchme’s interface makes it easy to find what you are looking because we show you pictures of the web sites without the delay of loading them in your browser. On mobile devices this is a real time saver and simply a better way to search the web.”
All mobile users can now go to m.searchme.com and simply enter a short query. The search engine will then display titles and pictures of web pages which match the query along with a list of categories that can be selected for further refinement. To go to a site, you simply select its picture.
