The 3G iPhone had its debut in Canada last July 11 where hundreds of Canadians queued just to buy the device from the Rogers stores. So much hype was given to the second-generation iPhone even though the first-generation iPhone was launched just a year ago.

Odette Coleman, the spokesperson for Rogers Wireless, said that the sales ofthe 3G iPhone continue to exceed supply. The company is also continuously receiving weekly shipments coming from Apple Inc. This was made possible because of the pre-ordered inventory.

She also said that Rogers Wireless appreciates all the enthusiasm of the customers for the 3G iPhone. She also thanked all the patient customers who are waiting for the device.

The second-generation iPhone is exclusively distributed by Rogers Wireless in Canada. The 3G iPhones cost $199 for the 8 GB model and $299 for the 16 GB model. The price of the data plans of Rogers Wireless was dropped to $30 every month which would last for three years.
