LG Sells One Million 3G Phones
Sponsored linkLG Electronics has announced the sale of its one millionth 3G handset to long standing mobile communications partner, 3 during Gwen Stefani’s ‘The Sweet Escape 2007 Tour’ in Sydney.
Managing Director for LG Electronics Australia, Daniel Shin said, "Working closely with 3 on the successful launch of this technology into Australia has been an enormous part of LG's growth strategy and we are extremely proud of what we have been able to achieve together."
"LG has embraced 3G technology since it was first launched. We invested heavily in research and development to provide 3 with handsets to support their developing infrastructure. We are proud to commemorate our technology leadership with our partners tonight," Mr. Shin added.
3's Sales and Marketing Director, Noel Hamill agreed that LG has provided a broad variety of handsets that appealed to a cross-section of consumers – all of which supported 3G technology and services.
The one millionth handset sold was the LG Shine that was launched just two months ago. LG claims that the Shine is becoming highly popular amongst fashion aficionados and business users because of its unique mirror face.
